So it was my second time going there and I gained a new experience. I was in charge of giving out bread and I realized the big difference between not smiling and smiling. I am smiling when I give out the bread where almost all of them would say thank you but when it was the time to rotate to another new volunteer that came, she focused a lot in giving it out rather than her expression so due to my surprise, mostly of them dare not to say thanks.
Just by smiling we are initiating and opening ourselves to others where others would find it easier to approach or even as simple as to say thank you. Although it is something very small and maybe common but to me, I'm glad I realized that often time people doesn't need that much, they just needed a little smile to move on in life.
I'm sure that if we do things with our whole heart, it would naturally show it on our face. If we don't know what we are doing, how will others know what we are up to? If we know we want them to be full and healthy, naturally we would smile to them and say enjoy.
I love giving out food to them although I may not be the one packing and cooking or even sponsoring those food but I appreciate that at least I can do something small like giving out food to them. I believe that this world doesn't need something big to be changed but a small act of love can change the world.
