Pertiwi on 5 May 2017
So this time I went because one of my course mate had something came up so I went to replace him. As usual we went to Medan Tuanku by public transport. This time I was a runner.

Being a runner was not as scary as I thought it would be and I am glad that I was asked to be a runner. I help a few of the children to take their food and on of them was partially blind. She could not see very clearly but still she wanted to see who was helping her.

When she saw me and smiled, my heart just melted for that smile was sincerely thanking me for my help. For me, it is nothing, just helping to take some food but to her, it meant a lot. I realized too often in life we are so blinded by the hardships around us that we cannot see the blessings we already have. Helping others is not as hard as it seems, all you need is a little courage to do so. So do not be afraid to try something new today, something that puts a smile on others' face:)
